This is a switch with multiple applications... On Cloud & S-type models it is used for the gear change and fast idle mechanism. This is mounted on the steering column. It also operates the handbrake warning light and is used as the reverse light switch on the S type and Sliver Cloud models.
On 1965-1976 Mulliner Park Ward Coachbuilt, Corniche and Continental models this switch is used on the electric window lifts and cut out switches.
