This is a set of 24 cylinder liner seals. There is one upper seal (UE8582) and two lower seals (UE8581) per cylinder.
They seal the oil and water galleries between the cylinder liner and the crankcase. When the seals go hard they allow oil and water to escape.
This is usually visible from the tell-tale holes on the outside of the crankcase.
