This is the upper large master cylinder with a (1" bore) for the dual master cylinder system.
Prior to April 1956 Bentley S Type (prior to VIN B245BC) and Silver Cloud (prior to SYB50) models were fitted with a single master cylinder which fed a single brake hose to each front hub. After these chassis numbers all cars were fitted with the dual master cylinder system which fed twin brake hoses to each front hub.
