This is a kit to convert your distributor from points to electronic ignition. It is suitable for the S2 and Silver Cloud II. The kit is easy to fit and comes with full instructions. All parts are located inside the distributor cap. Benefits of this system include: Increased spark plug life, improved fuel economy, smoother engine running and response.

When fitting this kit we recommend fitting a Pertronix Flamethrower 1.5 ohm coil - COIL1 (chrome finish) or COIL2 (black finish).

It is not designed to be used with copper HT leads and is only suitable for 12V negative earth ignition systems.

Completely self contained and a simple alternative to standard points and condenser, installation is easy with full instructions, only two wires to connect and no permanent modifications necessary. Utilizing a hall effect sensor, this enables the unit to be impervious to dirt, vibration or dust and retains the standard advance curve. The kit is also unaffected by distributer shaft wear, maintaining firing accuracy to within 1/4 degree.

Due to the Ignitor unit producing very high voltage output compared to standard points, it is essential that you have an exceptionally good earth connection. This may otherwise give the impression that the ignitor unit is faulty.
