This is the float chamber float for all cars from 1963 to 1977.
Rolls started to fit a smaller diameter float to the Series 3 Silver Cloud and Bentley S3 Types. This was done to give the cars more volume of fuel in the float chamber to prevent low fuel level under hard acceleration or heavy uphill conditions.
